Robert Julian Frankel (July 9, 1941 – November 16, 2009) was an American thoroughbred race horse trainer whom ESPN called "one of the most successful and respected trainers in the history of thoroughbred racing."

Robert Frankel, affectionately known as ‘Bobby’, was one of the most successful American racehorse trainers in the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries. He won the Eclipse Award for Outstanding Trainer five times, in 1993, 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003.
