Clarence "Herb" Robertson (born February 21, 1951) is a jazz trumpeter and flugelhornist. He was born in Piscataway, New Jersey and attended the Berklee School of Music . He has recorded solo albums and has worked as a sideman for Tim Berne , Anthony Davis , Bill Frisell , George Gruntz , Paul Motian , Bobby Previte , and David Sanborn .
First of all, trumpeter Herb Robertson who not only plays the title-role but also is responsible for the arrangements of The Little Trumpet. Robertson started playing trumpet at the age of ten. From 1969 to 1971 he studied traditional jazz forms at the Berklee College of Music, but then changed his perspective.
