The Meat Purveyors Biography by Jason Ankeny. Led by vocalist Jo Walston and songwriter/guitarist Bill Anderson, the insurgent country band the Meat Purveyors hailed from Austin, Texas. After signing to the Bloodshot label, the group issued their debut LP, Sweet in the Pants, in early 1998.
