Keith "Bev" Smith. Ernest Chataway. The Honeydrippers were an English rock and roll band of the 1980s. Former Led Zeppelin lead singer Robert Plant formed the group in 1981 to satisfy his long-time goal of having a rock band with a heavy rhythm and blues basis.

7. Sept. 2022 · Diesmal mit Dave Wintour, Gary Davies, David Wilkinson und Keith Smith. Stan Webb experimentierte immer mehr mit Blues und Rock. Seine Interpretationen von altem Material hörte sich einmal rockiger an, dann wieder bekam alles einen kommerziellen Einschlag.
Chicken Shack sammelte Erfahrung bei Auftritten in kleineren Clubs und hatte ein festes Engagement im Star Club. Damals bestand Chicken Shack aus: Stan Webb, Andy Sylvester, Alan Morley und Al Sykes der schon bald von Dave Bidwell abgelöst wurde. 1967 kam die Band zurück nach England.

Aug. 2007 · Keith Smith, known to many as "Bev" and who played alongside rock and blues legends Eric Clapton, Robert Plant, Stan Webb's Chickenshack and, more recently, Wyre Forest band, Shark Attack, died on August 8. He was 50 and leaves behind his wife, Maggie, brother, Kevin and sister, Kerry.

They also performed on stage with Robert Plant at a tribute concert to honour the late Chicken Shack/Honeydrippers drummer Keith (Bev) Smith in September 2007.
