GARIBALDI, Ricciotti Giuseppe Monsagrati Quartogenito di Giuseppe e di Anita Ribeiro da Silva, nacque a Montevideo il 24 febbr. 1847 e, come già il fratello Menotti, fu battezzato con il nome di un mazziniano, il frusinate Nicola Ricciotti, fucilato con i fratelli Bandiera il 25 luglio 1844.

Giuseppe Garibaldi was born in Nice in 1807 and died in Caprera, a small island not far from Sardinia in 1882. He was one of the pro-tagonists of Italian unification between 1848 and 1870, and had contributed to wars of liberation in Brazil and Uruguay between 1835 and 1848. He was known as the «hero of the two worlds» (l’eroe dei due mondi).
