Colossal Youth is the only studio album by Welsh post-punk band Young Marble Giants, released in February 1980 on Rough Trade Records. Young Marble Giants were offered the opportunity to record the album after Rough Trade heard just two songs by the band on the local Cardiff music compilation Is the War Over?

Biografie. Young Marble Giants 2008 in Belgien. Die Band wurde 1978 gegründet und unterschrieb im selben Jahr bei dem frisch gegründeten Independent-Label Rough Trade Records einen Plattenvertrag. Zwei Jahre später erschien die Debüt-LP Colossal Youth.
Released with the full "Testcard EP" as tracks 16 to 21 ("Six instrumentals in praise and celebration of mid-morning television made and played by: Stuart Moxham and Philip Moxham; From the Young Marble Giants: Testcard E.P.").
