This low-performing school is being closed down. The Thomas Jefferson High Educational Campus houses four small schools that share sports teams, a garden, a health center, a library and cafeteria.
Over the years, the large school was instrumental in the education of many notable people, but by the 1990s the neighborhood and school had fallen into decline.
