Actress Jenn Murray plays the part of Ida, who tells the story of being trafficked from Eastern Europe to Britain and made to work as a prostitute. This fund-raising film formed part of Comic Relief’s Red Nose Fundraising Day 2017 and can be seen below.
Ida Sokoloff was 8 years old in 1918 when the Cossack soldiers came into her village in the Ukraine. That night the family of seven children fled with their father to make their way across Russia to seek freedom in America.
