About MX. On the edge of Concord, Massachusetts, just 20 miles outside Boston, beyond an entry column of overhanging maples, you’ll find the sprawling green campus of Middlesex, an independent secondary school for boarding and day students in grades 9-12.

This website provides detailed information about life at Middlesex, and instructions on the application process, and we hope that you will visit us and experience the beauty of our campus and the energy and warmth of our community.
Founded in 1901. Head of School, Elizabeth (Bessie) Speers, appointed 2023, Middlebury College B.A, Johns Hopkins University M.L.A. 350 Acre campus. Serves grades 9-12. 420 Students. 72% Boarding and 28% Day Students. 12 Students per class, on average. 23 Advanced Placement courses.

The houses you'll see on campus belong to a faculty who teach a deep curriculum and who dedicate their lives to the development of complete, ethical teenagers.
The application deadline for all applicants is January 15, 2024. While we prefer to receive your portion of the application by January 15, we recognize that grades, recommendations, and testing may follow, and we promise to issue March 10 decisions to all students who have completed their applications by February 1.
