The Ozark Mountain Daredevils are an American rock band formed in 1972 in Springfield, Missouri. They are most widely known for their singles "If You Wanna Get to Heaven" in 1974 and "Jackie Blue" in 1975. Bassist Michael "Supe" Granda has also written a book about the band, It Shined.
In 1981 Nick opened his recording studio Nick Sibley Music, and has used his formidable musical skills to produce numerous album projects for a variety of artists in the area. The Dares recorded the albums 13 and Off The Beaten Path in Nick’s studio, and he served as co-producer on the latter.
The newest Ozark Mountain Daredevils’ album, Off The Beaten Path (2017), is their first studio recording since 1997. Co-produced with band member, Nick Sibley, its 16 new songs offer solid proof of their nonstop evolution as songwriters and musicians. VIEW OUR IMAGE GALLERY.
During the cold winter months of 2016-2017, the Daredevils band member, producer, and studio owner, Nick Sibley asked John, Steve, and Supe if they wanted to record a few songs. With a few days open in his busy studio schedule, the rest of the band showed up ready to play.
