David T. Howard High School was a school for African American students in Atlanta, Georgia. It has many prominent alumni. In 2018 the school was being renovated for a planned 2020 reopening as a middle school.
6. Apr. 2017 · David T. Howard opened in 1947 (formerly an elementary school of the same name) as Atlanta's second high school dedicated to the African-American community. The only other high school for African-American's was Booker T. Washington high school which remains in use.
