Under the Skin is the fourth solo album by American musician and Fleetwood Mac vocalist/guitarist Lindsey Buckingham, released on October 3, 2006. The album, long delayed by Fleetwood Mac's reunion tour in the 1990s and 2003 album Say You Will, was his first solo release in 14 years.

While Under the Skin might not be as instantly gratifying as Fleetwood Mac’s radio-friendly ruminations, the emotional intimacy that is painted by Buckingham’s ambient production technique transforms the endeavor into something that is equally resonant.

12. Apr. 2007 · Written, recorded and mixed in hotel rooms during the last Fleetwood tour, Under The Skin was both critically lauded and in harmony with neo-folkers like Vetiver or Devendra Banhart. He has its follow-up already written, and admits he’d like to make another Fleetwood Mac album too.
