Earl began shuffling in 1995. He achieved his Florida Shuffleboard Association (FSA) Pro status in 1999, and in just five seasons qualified for the FSA Hall of Fame. He currently (in 2023) holds the second-place position for Lifetime FSA Points, over 300 points past his 1000 Point Achievement in 2017.
