Zaharira Harifai (Hebrew: זהרירה חריפאי; December 12, 1929 – January 2, 2013) was an Israeli film, stage, and television actress and recipient of the Israel Prize in Theater, which she was awarded in 2003.
Zaharira Harifai was born in December 1929 in Jaffa, Palestine [now Tel Aviv, Israel]. She was an actress, known for Jellyfish (2007), 5 and 5 (1980) and Sallah Shabati (1964). She was married to Shlomo Shva. She died on 2 January 2013 in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Zaharira Harifai was an Israeli stage and film actor, and the 2003 recipient of the Israel Prize in Theatre. During the 1948 War of Independence, Harifai served with the Golani combat unit as a radio operator. After completing her military service, she studied at the Cameri Theatre’s Drama Studio.

3. Jan. 2013 · Actress Zaharira Harifai, one of Israel's most celebrated actresses and an Israeli Prize recipient in 2003, died of cancer on Wednesday in Beilinson Hospital at age 83. Last night her coffin was placed on the stage of the Cameri Theater, where she was part of the ensemble since 1968, and a ceremony was held in her memory.
