Sacha Guitry, Sohn des berühmten französischen Schauspielers Lucien G., wurde am 21. Febr. 1885 in St. Petersburg geboren, wo sein Vater am Französischen Theater spielte. Er selbst stand schon im Alter von 5 Jahren in St. Petersburg auf der Bühne und ist später unter dem Pseudonym Lorcey aufgetreten.

The Story of a Cheat is one of these, but perhaps the most adventurous example is The Pearls of the Crown (1937), a whimsical historical pageant imaginable only on film.
