David Clarence Boon MBE [1] (born 29 December 1960) is an Australian cricket match referee, former cricket commentator and international cricketer whose international playing career spanned the years 1984–1996.

David Boon was a right-hand batter who played for Australia and Tasmania from 1984 to 1996. He was part of four Ashes series wins, scored a match-winning 184 in the Bicentenary Test, and led Durham in the county championship.
