  1. Naohisa Takato (髙藤直寿, Takatō Naohisa, born 30 May 1993) is a Japanese judoka. Takato is currently the top ranked judoka in the world in the extra-lightweight division. He became one of judo's most prominent fighters by winning the 2013 World Championships.

(2021 Getty Images) TAKATO Naohisa has the honour of being Japan's first gold medallist at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 after winning by ippon over YANG Yung Wei of Chinese Taipei in the judo men's -60kg contest. Takato was also the bronze medallist in the same event at Rio 2016.
