Ralph McPherran Kiner (October 27, 1922 – February 6, 2014) was an American Major League Baseball player and broadcaster. An outfielder, Kiner played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Chicago Cubs, and Cleveland Indians from 1946 through 1955.

Ralph Kiner was a power-hitting left fielder who played for the Pirates, Cubs and Indians from 1946 to 1955. He led the NL in home runs seven times and was a popular broadcaster for the Mets for over 50 years.
Kiner was a dominant power hitter for the Pirates and a beloved voice of the Mets for 52 years. He was known for his charm, wit, kindness and generosity, and was a gentleman in every sense of the word.
