  1. Keith Fordyce Marriott (15 October 1928 – 15 March 2011 [1]) was an English disc jockey and presenter on British radio and television. He is most famous as the first presenter of ITV's Ready Steady Go! in 1963, [2] but was a stalwart of both BBC Radio and Radio Luxembourg for many years.

  2. The best known presenters were Keith Fordyce and Cathy McGowan, though early shows were introduced by Dusty Springfield. The show was occasionally presented by David Gell and Michael Aldred . Both McGowan and Aldred joined after answering an advertisement for "a typical teenager" as adviser.

  3. Keith Fordyce was a versatile and experienced broadcaster who hosted the live music show Ready Steady Go! from 1963 to 1966. He also worked for BBC, Radio Luxembourg, Granada TV and other stations and shows, and had a law degree from Cambridge.
