The Letters is a 1973 American made-for-television drama film starring John Forsythe, Jane Powell, Dina Merrill, Leslie Nielsen and Barbara Stanwyck. It premiered as the ABC Movie of the Week on March 6, 1973. It was followed by a sequel, Letters from Three Lovers (1973).

The first involves a man, Paul Anderson, a family man with a wife and two children. When he leaves to go on a business trip he tries to tell his wife something but can't. His son asks him to bring him something. When he gets on the plane he is met by a woman, Laura, whom he is running away with.
