Rinty of the Desert is a 1928 American synchronized sound drama film directed by D. Ross Lederman. While the film has no audible dialog, it was released with a synchronized musical score with sound effects using the sound-on-disc Vitaphone process.
Rinty (Rin-Tin-Tin), a dog of the desert, wanders into a big city and finds many reasons to turn his back on humanity. He is given a home by sweet June Marlow (Audrey Ferris) but he soon finds himself being treated badly by animal trainer Mike Doyle (Paul Panzer).
