The Last Stagecoach West is a 1957 American Western film directed by Joseph Kane and starring Jim Davis, Mary Castle, Victor Jory and Lee Van Cleef. The film's art direction was by Ralph Oberg. In the early 1950s Republic Pictures decided to begin producing television shows and filmed a pilot for what became Stories of the Century.

5. März 2024 · The Last Stagecoach West (1957) Mark Franklin March 5, 2024 1950s. The railroad comes to Cedar City, putting stage line operator Rand McCord (Victor Jory) out of business. Before long, the railroad is hit with a series of holdups, and detective Bill Cameron (Jim Davis) is sent to investigate.
Overview. The coming of the railroad to Cedar City spells the end of the stagecoach as the government gives the mail contract to the fastest means of delivery. McCord loses the stagecoach line gambling with the new buyer, but has enough hidden money to buy a ranch and some cattle.
