17. Nov. 2004 · Plot. In a small Texas town, the aging Snakey Bender loves his snakes more than anything else. He, Burt Holden and schoolteacher Cynthia Williams have sessions every Wednesday night where they play music and dance with the snakes.
A perfect movie. One of those one man's stand against an injust world movies but left out in the Texas sun so long that the moral compass melted. More than the sum of its parts: band music and snakes, small town rivalries and sexual kinks, ritual and repetition. Soundtrack by Ciani and Sousa.
