7. Sept. 2012 · Their soothsayer/cleaning woman Cassandra keeps warning them about terrible things in the future, which include a sudden visit from Masha and her twenty-something boy toy Spike. Vanya and his stepsister Sonia have lived their entire lives in their family's farmhouse.
Vania and Sonia and Masha and Spike by Christopher Durang won the 2013 Tony Award for Best Play. It was written on commission from the McCarter Theater in Princeton, New Jersey, and then it became a co-production of the McCarter and The Lincoln Center Theater in New York City.
