  4. synopsis. There was once a young Russian general who sacrificed the birds in order to burn Moscow and save his country from Napoleon's invading hordes. But in his retirement at St. Petersburg, the general is bored. One day, he decides to adopt a dog. He calls him Bonaparte, in memory of his victory over the French emperor.
