The Father of the Girl (French: Le père de Mademoiselle) is a 1953 French comedy film directed by Marcel L'Herbier and starring Arletty, Suzy Carrier and André Luguet.
Edith is the mistress of the Minister of Justice, and the Marinier parents arrive believing it's their daughter they're interviewing. While Mme Marinier puts up with it, her husband is scandalized. Gr ce to Edith, all confusion cleared up, the father is promoted to magistrate and Françoise marries.
