27. Feb. 2023 · Roger Troutman, the frontman of Zapp and the talkbox pioneer, was shot dead by his brother Larry in an alleyway. Larry then killed himself after crashing his car nearby. The motive was allegedly a business dispute over Roger's solo career.
Roger was survived by his six sons and five daughters; his eldest son, Roger Lynch Troutman Jr., died of head injuries just a few years after the murder of his father (January 31, 1970 – January 22, 2003).
