Alan „Blind Owl“ Christie Wilson (* 4. Juli 1943 in Boston, Massachusetts; † 3. September 1970 in Topanga, Kalifornien) war ein US-amerikanischer Sänger, Mundharmonikaspieler, Gitarrist und Komponist, der vor allem als Gründungsmitglied der Band Canned Heat bekannt war.

Der im Jahre 1975 verstorbene Musiker und Komponist Alan Wilson wurde vor allem als Gründungsmitglied der US-amerikanischen Bluesrockband „Canned Heat“ bekannt. Er wuchs in Boston auf und studierte an der dortigen Privatuniversität Musik.
Biography. Cofounder of Canned Heat. Alan Wilson is widely remembered as a pioneer of blues-rock during its crucial development period of the 1960s. Wilson’s devoted fans considered him one of the most brilliant, innovative, and sadly under-recognized artists of his era.
Though he co-founded and co-fronted the legendary sixties blues rock band, Canned Heat, Alan was an unlikely “rock star”. As the band’s primary musical arranger, he drew upon his scholarly knowledge of blues roots music to create the music which would become synonymous with the Woodstock generation.
