David Mabuza (born 25 August 1960) is a South African politician who served as deputy president of South Africa from February 2018 to February 2023.
David Dabede Mabuza ist ein südafrikanischer Politiker. Von 2018 bis 2023 war er Vizepräsident Südafrikas. Bereits von 2009 bis 2018 war er Premierminister der Provinz Mpumalanga, von 2017 bis 2022 war er stellvertretender Vorsitzender des ANC.
He was Chairperson of the Mpumalanga ANC in 2008. As a result of Mabuza backing Jacob Zuma in the 52nd ANC National Conference in 2007, Mabuza was voted onto the ANC National Executive Committee the same year. Two years later, he was elected to the position of Premier of Mpumalanga.
The current Deputy President is David Mabuza. He was elected deputy president at the 54th National Conference in 2017. His term of office will expire in December 2022 when the 55th National Conference will elect a new deputy president.

Mr David Dabede Mabuza was appointed as Deputy President of the Republic of South Africa on 27 February 2018 until 6 March 2023. He was the Premier of Mpumalanga Provincial Government from 6 May 2009 until 26 February 2018. He has been a member of ANC National Executive Committee since 2007.
He was the Deputy President of the African National Congress (ANC) from December 2017 to December 2022 and was previously the Premier of Mpumalanga from 2009 to 2018, throughout the presidency of his former political ally Jacob Zuma.
