Thomas Osborne, 1st Duke of Leeds, KG (20 February 1632 – 26 July 1712) was an English Tory politician and peer. During the reign of Charles II of England , he was the leading figure in the English government for roughly five years in the mid-1670s.

Daneben besaßen die Dukes ab 1766 auch das Godolphin House in Cornwall, da Thomas Osborne, 4. Duke of Leeds eine Tochter von Francis Godolphin, 2. Earl of Godolphin geheiratet hatte und dieser keinen männlichen Erben besaß. Seither führten viele der Dukes Godolphin als weiteren Vornamen.
It was created in 1694 for the prominent statesman Thomas Osborne, 1st Marquess of Carmarthen, who had been one of the Immortal Seven in the Revolution of 1688.
