Philip von Egmond (* 1558 auf Schloss La Hamaide im Hennegau; † 14. März 1590 bei Ivry) entstammte dem holländischen Hochadel sgeschlecht der Egmonds. Er war der fünfte Graf von Egmond, Fürst von Gavere, Baron von Gaesbeek, [1] sowie Heer von Purmerend, Purmerland und Ilpendam. [2]
Der Enkel Johanns III., Lamoral von Egmond (1522–1568), wurde 1553 zum Fürsten von Gavere in Flandern erhoben. Der Titel bestand bis 1682, als der letzte Nachfahre, Fürst Lodewijk Filips, starb. Ebenfalls führte er zwischen 1560 bis 1568 den Titel Prins (Fürst) van Steenhuize (Steenhuisen, Steenhuijsen).

Philip, Count of Egmont (1558 – Ivry 14 March 1590) was the fifth Count of Egmont, prince of Gavere and 12th and last Lord of Purmerend, Purmerland and Ilpendam. [1] He was the eldest son and successor of Lamoral, Count of Egmont, who was beheaded by the Spanish in 1568 in Brussels. [1]
