Hans Jüttner was promoted to the position of chief-of-staff of the SS-FHA and handled the day-to-day operations. When Himmler stepped down as SS-FHA chief in 1943, Jüttner took over as chief of the department till the end of the war. Hans Jüttner wurde im Jahre 1884 in Saalfeld geboren, wurde aktiver Offizier und nahm am ersten Weltkrieg, zuletzt als Generalstabsoffizier, teil. Er ging dann zum Nationalsozialismus über und war nach deren Gründung besonders in der SS tätig, in der er im Jahre 1941 zum SS-Gruppenführer aufrückte.
