Eamon Gilmore (born 24 April 1955) is a European Union diplomat, and an Irish former Labour Party politician. He serves as European Union Special Representative for Human Rights since February 2019. He is also the European Union Special Envoy for the Colombian Peace Process since 2015.

Eamon Gilmore served as the EU Special Representative for Human Rights from 1 March 2019 until 29 February 2024. The tasks of the Special Representative for Human Rights are to enhance the effectiveness and visibility of EU human rights policy.

Mr Gilmore will replace Stavros Lambrinidis, who was appointed in 2012 the first EU Special Representative. Mr Gilmore will take up his duties on 1 March 2019 and has been appointed initially for two years.
24. Nov. 2023 · EU Special Representative for Human Rights (EUSR), Eamon Gilmore, visited Cuba on 23-24 November, to co-chair the fourth Human Rights Dialogue under the EU-Cuba Political Dialogue and Cooperation Agreement (PDCA). EUSR Gilmore’s visit was agreed in May during the visit of High.
Eamon Gilmore will convey the political support of the EU for the peace process, especially in the implementation phase. He will work with the Colombian Government and other stakeholders in Colombia, and with EU Member States and the European Parliament.
