22. Juli 2014 · In 1870 George Bridgeman, eldest son of Orlando 3rd Earl of Bradford, moved into Castle Bromwich Hall. Both he and his wife, Lady Ida née Lumley, daughter of Lord Scarborough, were to live there until their deaths, he in 1915, she in 1936. Until his father’s death, George bore the title of the eldest son, that of Viscount Newport.

Selina Louisa Forester, Bridgeman was educated at Harrow School, and served in the 1st Life Guards and the Shropshire Yeomanry Cavalry, reaching the rank of Captain.
