Eduardo Frei (born Jan. 16, 1911, Santiago, Chile—died Jan. 22, 1982, Santiago) was a Chilean politician and the first Christian Democratic president of Chile (1964–70). Frei graduated in law in 1933 from the Catholic University of Chile, where he had been president of the National Association of Catholic Students in 1932–33.
