The goal of the Art Center’s Teen Academies is to create accessible, well-rounded art education for high school students in the Des Moines metro and surrounding areas. Students will have opportunities to work in a variety of art mediums and learn new and advanced techniques to grow their skill set.
The Studios at the Art Center provides youth, teen, and adult studio art classes. Classes are taught in a variety of traditional mediums like painting, drawing, printmaking, and ceramics. Specialty classes, such as metals, mixed media, and calligraphy, are also offered.
