Carlo Rubbia (* 31. März 1934 in Gorizia) ist ein italienischer Physiker in der experimentellen Teilchenphysik. Carlo Rubbia was a senior physicist and the Director-General of CERN from 1989 to 1994. He shared the Nobel prize in physics in 1984 for his work on the W and Z particles and the LEP project.
