Samuel C.C. Ting is a renowned particle physicist who discovered the J particle and the gluon, and led the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer experiment on the International Space Station. He is the Thomas Dudley Cabot Professor of Physics at MIT and has received many awards and honors, including the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1976.
