Shady peddler Luke Herkimer (Edgar Buchanan) meets Pete Quinn (Carlton Carpenter) an easterner who has just arrived in the west. Luke likes to tell tall tales which lands him in trouble with the town bullies (Leonard Nimoy), (Michael Landon) and (Richard Bakalyan).
Joe Thornton (King Donovan) is a newspaper man who always seems to run a day late to be the first to get a thrilling western story. Willie Magill (John Smith) is a simple hard working man who can't seem to keep a job very long. Joe devises a plan to make both of their lives more exciting.
8. März 2019 · The long-lost 1962 Parallel Production TV short “The Night Rider,” starring Johnny Cash (left) as Johnny Laredo and Dickie Jones as Billy Joe, has been restored and resurrected for Western TV fans by film historian Bob Terry on YouTube’s The Forsaken Westerns channel.
The first has Duke (John Wayne) on the run from the Mounties. The Royal Mounted Police have sent their best man Sergeant Weaver (Jimmy Durante) after him. The second comedy western has Tex Morgan (Jack Benny) trying out for the part of Gary Cooper's brother in the sequel to Man of the West.
