Kazimierz Jerzy Skrzypna-Twardowski (20 October 1866 – 11 February 1938) was a Polish philosopher, psychologist, logician, and rector of the Lwów University. He was initially affiliated with Alexius Meinong's Graz School of object theory.
Twardowski, Kazimierz, 1866–1938, polnischer Philosoph und Psychologe. 1892 Promotion an der Universität Wien, 1894-1895 dort Privatdozent. Ab 1895 Professor an der Universität Lemberg, wo er ein psychologisches Laboratorium einrichtete. Als Schüler F. Brentanos führte Twardowski dessen deskriptive Psychologie fort.
Twardowski ist der Begründer der Lwow-Warschau-Schule. In seinem 1894 veröffentlichten Hauptwerk Zur Lehre vom Inhalt und Gegenstand der Vorstellungen entwickelte er die Theorie von Brentano weiter, indem er den Unterschied von Inhalt und Gegenstand der Vorstellung betonte.
