1. Juni 2006 · From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Allan Prior (13 January 1922, Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland, – 1 June 2006) was an English television scriptwriter and novelist, who wrote over 300 television episodes from the 1950s onwards.
Prior was a successful novelist and television writer best known for his scripts for British television police series such as Z Cars. He first became interested in writing while serving in the Royal Air Force during World War II. A fellow soldier showed him a story he was writing for a competition, and Prior thought he might enter too.
