Angus Boyd "Gus" Dudgeon (30 September 1942 – 21 July 2002) was an English record producer, who oversaw many of Elton John's most acclaimed recordings, including his commercial breakthrough, "Your Song". 23. Juli 2002 · Gus Dudgeon, who worked on recordings by Elton John, David Bowie, XTC and numerous others, died in a car accident in 2002. He was known for his work on John's classic Seventies albums, such as Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy.

Started as engineer at Decca Studios in the second half of the 1960s. Best known for early work with Elton John at Marquee Studios .
