Leben. Herkunft. Victoire war eine Tochter des Herzogs Franz Friedrich von Sachsen-Coburg-Saalfeld (1750–1806), aus dessen Ehe mit Auguste (1757–1831), Tochter des Grafen Heinrich XXIV. Reuß zu Ebersdorf. Ihr jüngerer Bruder Leopold wurde 1831 König der Belgier, ihre Schwester Juliane war russische Großfürstin.
Description. Victoria, Duchess of Kent, was born Victoria Mary Louisa, Princess of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld, at Coburg on 17 August 1786. Her first marriage in 1803 was to the Prince of Leiningen, with whom she had a son, Charles, and a daughter, Feodora.
