Klaus Nomi (* 24. Januar 1944 in Immenstadt im Allgäu; † 6. August 1983 in New York; bürgerlich Klaus Sperber) war ein im Bereich der Popmusik tätiger deutscher Countertenor
Illness and death. Nomi died at the Sloan Kettering Hospital Center in New York City on August 6, 1983, as a result of complications from AIDS. He was one of the earliest known figures from the arts community to die from the illness. Nomi's close friend Joey Arias was executor of his estate.
