  1. The student community in Trinity is truly enriched by having Erasmus students as part of our diverse community for part of their studies. Studying abroad, for one semester or a full year, is a central part of Erasmus+.

  2. Erasmus exchange students must be nominated by their home university before they can apply to Trinity College Dublin. We ask our partners to kindly send their nominations directly to erasmus.incoming@tcd.ie. Application instructions will then be sent directly to eligible students.

  3. Visiting students are students who are enrolled at higher-education institutions outside of the European Union, whose one-semester or one-year visit to Trinity is not subject to an Erasmus Agreement. Visiting students might also be referred to as 'Study Abroad' or 'Exchange' students.

  4. The Erasmus Programme is open to all registered students of Trinity College, who are nationals of the EU member states, the European Economic Area countries (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway), or the candidate country, Turkey.

  5. Erasmus students are students who are enrolled at higher-education institutions within the European Union who visit Trinity for either a semester or a full academic year. Their study at Trinity is subject to an Erasmus Agreement.*

  6. All Incoming Erasmus students need to fill in an application form following nomination through their home university first. All students should note that while enhancing linguistic skills is part of the experience of studying abroad, we expect students to be fully proficient in English.
