Nach seinem Bankrott übernahm sein Sohn Archibald Bulloch 1822 die Destillerie, doch auch er musste schon 1826 Bankrott anmelden. Vermutlich ging aus der bestehenden Duntocher Distillery im Jahr 1823 die heutige Auchentoshan Brennerei hervor.
