Woman in a Dressing Gown is a 1957 British drama film directed by J. Lee Thompson and starring Yvonne Mitchell, Anthony Quayle, Sylvia Syms, and Carole Lesley. [2] The screenplay was written by Ted Willis, based on his 1956 ITV Television Playhouse play of the same name. The producer was Frank Godwin .
With a background in the City and a taste for performing in revue, Godwin swapped careers and began producing such films as Woman In A Dressing Gown (1957), No Trees In The Street (1958), Operation Bullshine (1959) and in later years Children’s Film Foundation titles such as Electric Eskimo (1978).
