Jeff Beal (born June 20, 1963) is an American composer of music for film, television, recordings, and the concert hall. Highly regarded as a jazz instrumentalist and versatile composer, Beal creates music that often incorporates a synthesis of improvisatory and composed elements.
In 1988, Beal was commissioned to write his first film score, the black comedy CHEAP SHOTS. After relocating to the west coast, Jeff turned his focus towards writing music for visual media – initially taking smaller jobs writing industrials for then startups Pixar and Apple.
