Born in Munich, Germany, the mostly self-taught musician started playing and composing music at a young age and performed with several bands before re-locating to Los Angeles at the age of 19. Streitenfeld’s first job in the film industry was assisting Academy-Award winning film composer Hans Zimmer.
Marc Streitenfeld is a frequent collaborator with Ridley Scott. The Prometheus project becoming the fifth collaboration between the composer and the director. The score was recorded over one week with a 90-piece orchestra at Abbey Road Studios in London, England, [5] where it was also processed by Scott after the fact. [6]

Marc Streitenfeld ( München, 1974) is een Duitse componist van filmmuziek. [1] Streitenfeld verhuisde toen hij 19 jaar oud was naar Los Angeles. Hij begon zijn carrière als assistent bij componist en muziekproducent Hans Zimmer in de muziekstudio Media Ventures (vanaf 2003: Remote Control Productions ).
