Raymond M. Hood was an American architect noted for his designs of skyscrapers in Chicago and New York City. Educated at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the École des Beaux-Arts (Paris), Hood gained national recognition in 1922 when the Neo-Gothic design submitted by John Mead Howells.
